Bandit: Thief of Hearts, Dog Toys, and Anything She Could Get Her Paws On!

Image
T oday, back in 2020, it began like any other day...only to become a day I'd never forget, and not for a good reason. Sure, this was the year that change most of our lives with the 2020 being the pandemic year, it also was a year of new beginnings for us at FiveSibes...we had lost three of our beloved Huskies by then: Gibson in 2015, Chloe and Harley three months apart in 2019...and then on this date, our crazy, lovable, beautiful "Bandit" a/k/a "Bee" and "BandaBear" earned her wings and silver harness at age 12½, leaving the last of our pack family, her brother/littermate and my baby boy, Wolfie, without his furfamily. As I sit here today, it is still so surreal to me that all of my beautiful, wonderful FiveSibes have now earned their wings. As I gaze out my window, I recall their beautiful, so-not-majestic group howls, the sounds of their 20 paws pounding through the room or across our back deck as they engaged in fun zoomies, or the woos and woofs w...

Remembering Our Beautiful Alpha Queen "Harley" on Her 5th Rainbow Bridge Anniversary

FiveSibes #Flashback ~ Harley, 11, with one of her fave toys ~ 2016 Today is the fifth...FIFTH...anniversary of when our beautiful alpha queen "Harley" earned her furangel wings. I cannot believe it has been five years since she has been gone, and while she was a very petite Husky, she had the biggest personality. So many things I remember about her. From the day we surprised my daughter (who was in high school at the time) by taking a trip to an hour away in a rainstorm to meet her. My daughter always wanted a Siberian Husky, and we waited until we thought she was ready for the responsibility. We had our beautiful, wonderful rescue dog "Chelsey" who was a senior by then, and my husband and I made the decision to let Jenn pick out her own dog.  Enter Harley. She was the most true Siberian Husky, alpha "momma," gorgeous black and white Husky with a Cleopatra mask and queen's attitude ("badass" as my daughter referred to her) to match that I ...

Two Years is Like Yesterday and Forever

Image
Gosh, how I miss my baby boy (even at almost 14, he was my pack baby) and his talking and wooing. This boy loved his pack and truly missed them being the last Sibe. How this boy loved lazing in bed. Whenever it was time to get up, he would grumble and woo and roll over. Just like a teenage boy! Two years. How? Spent yesterday just thinking of memories and of course, I woke up to snow.  Love you, my Wolfie.    Forever and always.     PawScript ~ thanks for the snow sign, Wolf. It was comforting to know you were thinking of me, too, this morning.   The heart never forgets.     Back to our Home Page and Our Other Pages, including Our About the Breed Page and Our #LiveGibStrong On-Line K-9 Epilepsy Resource Page, ArcticHouse Books & Gifts Shoppe & so much more!  Just click on "More" Pages at top of blog .     Follow us!
