Our beautiful #pupster and chatty chowhound, “Chloe,” the absolute sweetheart of our #FiveSibes who never met a treat or food she didn’t like, made her sudden journey to the #RainbowBridge 7 years ago today due to sudden liver failure.  I think Mother Nature knew as it rained all day here, like tears from Heaven.    ☔️   🐕 Chloe was my daughter’s baby, and while I prefer to focus today on her beauty, charm, loyalty, sweetness, great enthusiasm to talk and eat…and oh, how she rallied back after two emergency CCL surgeries after blowing them out at the same time.  What an amazing patient she was after that scary surgery...when we carried her in, but with the aid of a sling harness, she walked out two days later on rebuilt hind legs. She was truly an ideal patient, and healed well under my daughter’s care.    I still felt the need to recognize today, the day she had suddenly earned her wings after she stopped doing what she loved ...

FiveSibes #Flashback ~ 2012 ~ Bandit" ready for a hike!  O ur beautiful, crazy, resident "thief" who so fit her moniker, dear Bandit (a/k/a "Bee" and "BandaBear") earned her wings on this date back in 2020. It's so surreal to think this firecracker of a dog has now been gone five years. Time is so strange. All of my memories of her and her wild (and yes, sometimes nutty) Husky shenanigans brings a chuckle to me now. She was the quietest of our FiveSibes, rarely howled, only in unison when the rest of the pack began singing and she was never one to be left out! Always daring to be first and often times would try to assume the alpha role (silly girl), but she was always reminded by Harley that no one was the alpha queen of the FiveSibes pack other than "momma" Harley! T oday, back in 2020, it began like any other day...only to become a day I'd never forget, and not for a good reason. Sure, this was the year that change most of our lives with the 2020 being the pandemic year, it also was a year of new beginnings for us at FiveSibes...we had lost three of our beloved Huskies by then: Gibson in 2015, Chloe and Harley three months apart in 2019...and then on this date, our crazy, lovable, beautiful "Bandit" a/k/a "Bee" and "BandaBear" earned her wings and silver harness at age 12½, leaving the last of our pack family, her brother/littermate and my baby boy, Wolfie, without his furfamily. As I sit here today, it is still so surreal to me that all of my beautiful, wonderful FiveSibes have now earned their wings.   FiveSibes #Flashback ~ Harley, 11, with one of her fave toys ~ 2016 Today is the fifth...FIFTH...anniversary of when our beautiful alpha queen "Harley" earned her furangel wings. I cannot believe it has been five years since she has been gone, and while she was a very petite Husky, she had the biggest personality. So many things I remember about her. From the day we surprised my daughter (who was in high school at the time) by taking a trip to an hour away in a rainstorm to meet her. My daughter always wanted a Siberian Husky, and we waited until we thought she was ready for the responsibility.
