Today is National Pet Fire Safety Day a nd an excellent time to go over some safety tips and talk about how to not only keep our pets safe, but also how to keep them safe from starting fires. What is Pet Fire Safety Day? In 2007, The American Kennel Club (AKC) and ADT Security Services joined together and the first Pet Fire Safety Day debuted. This is a very important awareness day to remind us all about having a plan in place for our pets' safety should a fire ever occur, and ways to pet fireproof  your residence. Whether one has five Siberian Huskies like me, or just one pet, I truly believe one of the most important things you can do for your and your pet is to enroll in a Pet CPR and First Aid Course.
