Our Bandit is excited to share the news! The final round of judging for our FiveSibes Summer Fun Canine Photo Contest has been completed! Woo! From playing to swimming to hitting the beach and ball park, and from hiking to camping and lounging, your beautiful pups sure know how to have fun in the sun! Every single dog is gorgeous! And yes, while we did receive a majority of photos from Husky parents, the contest was open to all breeds, and only two of the judges were Husky parents. The others had furkids of their own in a variety of breeds. And we want to say right up front, that if your precious pup did not place in this contest...please know it is definitely not a reflection of your dog...the judges were in love with all the dogs, and as you know from my updates, they had a very difficult time judging the photos because the quality of Summer Fun themed photos were just amazing! The judges' panel had placed so many in the top, that there had to be a second, and then a t...

"Woooo! Wolf of the FiveSibes here...I just got done doing some fun Autumn evening zoomies with my packmates and wanted to take a minute to bring you up-to-date news on our "Summer Fun" Canine Photo Contest. The second round panel of judges have selected the top 22...and now we are officially in the third and final round of judging with a new panel of judges to select the actual prize winners and honorable mentions from the top finalists! We are getting closer! You guys took some amazing and beautiful photos! And please remember...if your photo did not place, it was not by any means a reflection of your dog...all the dogs were gorgeous and the photos were stunning! It was a tough, tough competition I heard, and the results were all THISCLOSE! The photos (all 162 of them!) were judged on: 1 ) summer theme, 2) dog's expression, 3) composition of photo, and 4) quality of photo. Mom says we never had to go into a third round  in our photo contests before! ...

Harley, poolside, on lifedog duty. Summer in many areas is starting to wind down...Labor Day has passed, the kids are back in school, and while there are still a few days of summer-like temperatures, the cooler temps are on the way - which of course, is music to a Siberian Husky's ears! Our FiveSibes kids have had enough lounging in the air conditioned house, lying under fans, and splashing in the pool. On a few cool nights we've had here in New York (before the recent two-day heatwave, complete with high humidity) the Huskies have had lots of pep in their steps and were "woooing" more songs than they have all summer!  Wolf is tuckered out from all the summer fun! For this week's "Flashback Friday," we are going to take a look back at how Summertime was such a fun season for our furpals from across the globe, and as you'll see from this video slideshow, how they all "beat the heat," with lots of splashing and lounging in pools,...

Epi Book Update! Gibson's sister Bandit has been giving me a paw with editing! She's taking a conference call here to check on a grammar question! Spent time at my printer's yesterday reviewing books styles for the book and I am armed with several designs and am very excited! I am also working on an Email list to all those whose stories were submitted and are being included and will be sending out a test Email in the near future. I will also be posting a list of all Epi-dogs whose stories are to be included at a later date so those who submitted stories can check to be sure they are included. We are now paw-deep in the editing process and had to take stock out in Kleenex! Such poignant stories of beautiful and amazing dogs. Will keep updates coming! Woooooo! It's officially summer in the Northern hemisphere...a time of splashing in pools, barbequing delish foods, romping in the fields, playing in the surf, going for car rides, exploring on vacation, catching frisbees in the park, chasing bugs, eating ice cream, burying bones, snoozing in front of the fan, watching fireworks, and lazing in the shade.  It's also a great time to photograph our beloved canine companions doing what they like best doing the great Summer season.
