Today is a very special day as it is our alpha queen Harley's 10th Birthday! It's so hard to believe that a decade ago the beautiful pup named Nanuk "Harley" Mari with the intense mask and bright blue eyes came into our lives and introduced us to this wonderful, crazy, loving, howling, fun-filled amazing world of Siberian Huskies! Harley is my daughter's first dog, and not only is she our family's first Siberian Husky, but she is who kicked off the Siberian Husky Potato Chip Syndrome in our home as Gibson followed a year later, and then the three Pupsters Wolf, Chloe, and Bandit two years after Gibson and the FiveSibes were born!  Harley at 7 weeks and today! Harley is such an amazing dog. Not only is she super smart, super fast, and full of Huskitude, she is also very sweet and can turn on the charm in an instant if it suits her. She rules the roost and commands respect from the other four, with Gibson madly in love with her since the day he came ho...

♡Happy Birthday, Gibson! ♡

Today is my beautiful boy Gibson's ninth birthday! Wow! How time flies! I remember that day I first brought him home...a little four-month-old uber-fluffy, dirty, stinky ball of wooly fur with the clown mask, a winky (parti-eye), and who ran more like a cross between a bunny hopping and a horse loping! Everything about him was so endearing! I picked him up and he melted into my arms. It was so hard to put him down to leave and go to the store to buy a crate, a fluffy bed, a collar, leash, toys, bath soap (lots of bath soap - he wreaked off urine), toys, and snacks! It had to be a wonderful homecoming for my puppy boy.  This is the sweet face that stole my heart nine years ago, and still holds it so dear! Each year, I make a birthday video covering  from birth to present day...I'm sad to say that my iMac crashed and I am unable to do so at this time. I'm hoping that it will be up and running and that I can create the video at a later date! But in the meantime, I th...

Happy Birthday, Gibson!!!

T oday is my Gibson's fifth birthday and he celebrated it in style with his Hu-family and his Sibe family! There were presents and singing and even his all-time-favorite...a bone-shaped all-natural vanilla ice cream cake! G ibson Les Paul of Mystic Mountain (yes, he was named after the guitar by my musician daughter!) joined our family in April of 2006 when he was almost four months old. After giving him his first bath, he slept on my lap the whole first night he was home. He is my very intuitive boy. He understands everything from a mere look to the spoken word. We have a very special bond.  H e is, has been, and always will be totally in love with my daughter's Sibe, our alpha queen Harley (since the day he came home and she beat him up)! They are inseparable. He is also a really good big brother to the three pupsters, his younger siblings, and the best canine companion I could ask for. When we first added the three pups to our family, I had a dog whisperer come to visit ...
