Icy: The Tale of the Horseman and The Husky on #MerryMeme Monday!
Woo! It's our #FiveSibes #MerryMeme Monday and we're so happy to share this wonderful seasonal photo submitted to us of Cathy Armato's (of DogsLuvUsAndWeLuvThem) beautiful Siberian Husky girl "Icy" in her fun Howloween costume! Inspired by her costume and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, of course, being a writer, I had to write a little Husky Howloween poem-style story! (Easter egg time: Did any Husky-loving person get the last line?! BOL, but true)! I was thrilled my "The Tale of The Horseman and The Husky" was selected as the winning caption, but I was just happy and fun writing it. I am sharing here just in time for that spooky time of year! Hope you enjoy!

ReplyDeleteGood little story. Mom had a husky growing up and that guy could run. He loved going for runs with mom, but most of all, he loved running away from home if someone wasn't watching when the door was opened. The only way to catch him was to drive out in the car and ask him if he wanted to go for a ride. He loved riding in the car, LOL!
ReplyDeleteWell done. You're a most wonderful wordsmith.

What a fun picture and post! A friend, many years ago, had a husky and yes, it left lots of fur behind.
