Lights! Camera! Action! Celebrating National Pets in Film Day With Our #FiveSibes Stars!

A still from the Nancy Simmonds/Musik Tails Video "Rev Me Up" a/k/a "Husky Song"

National Pets in Film Day was celebrated on June 19th, and it's a perfect time for a #FlashbackFriday post about when I was so thrilled when "The Dog Singer" a/k/a Nancy Simmonds, asked my FiveSibes to be in her upcoming music video! Of course I said yes, or in Husky-speak, Wooo!

When Nancy released "The Husky Dog Song," also known as "Rev Me Up" in 2015, she created a music video to accompany it that starred my FiveSibes: Harley, Gibson, Wolf, Chloe, and Bandit via my photographs of them! That was pretty exciting, and still is every time I play the video!

Finding out so many fascinating facts about Nancy, who is an amazing singer and songwriter, was so much fun to learn when she was a guest on my show, "The Sibe Vibe" in 2014. Also starring in the video are Robert Forto's (my show's producer) Team Ineka huskies from Alaska.

Pretty cool, right?

Call in your pups, turn up the volume, and enjoy!

Hope you enjoyed it as we did!

To recap my interview with Nancy back in 2014, let's...

Meet Nancy Simmonds, "The Dog Singer"

A little about Nancy, for more than 43 years, Nancy has had a career in music, but says her passion is her dog songs. “I think these songs help pet owners celebrate and appreciate their four-legged friends,” Nancy says. With all the different breeds of dogs and rescue dogs, it seems Nancy will be busy for a very long time writing new songs. "That that makes me one lucky writer!" she says!

In 2010 Nancy and songwriting partner, Alannah Myles ("Black Velvet"), won the USA Songwriting Contest. To read more about this very talented singer/songwriter, as well as links to her MusicalTails.com website and store where you can purchase individual breed songs or a "litter" (a mix) of songs on a CD visit her website at NancySimmonds.com. Her music can also be purchased on iTunes and Amazon.com. (Nancy has also been a supporter my #LiveGibStrong Canine Epilepsy Awareness & Education Campaign and she generously donated several of her Musical Tails CDs featuring her wonderful songs "Siberian Husky," "Alaskan Malamute," and "Wolf" for our November 2014 benefit auction for Canine Epilepsy Resources Epil K-9 Foundation and The Wally Foundation for Canine Epilepsy!)

Nancy's CDs are available for purchase from her website, Musical Tails, and features many breed songs! Check out clips all of Nancy's songs over on her website.

  6. What a fabulous video and song! So adorable! What a great memory with your FiveSibes! They were and still are famous (as are you, Dorothy)! I turned up the volume. It must've been soothing, because Henry napped while I watched, smiled, and tapped my feet. Such fun! Thanks for turning my ugh day into a "Rev Me Up" day! ;)
