Fun Fall Things to Do With Your Dog

Flashback ~ Wolfie ~ 2021
Enjoying a backyard campfire was a new experience for both my boy, Wolfie, and me. As we grew older and moved slower together, the quieter and more leisurely moments were welcome and well-matched to us. Enjoying a campfire together is just one of the many things you can enjoy this Autumn with your furry best friend! Be sure to read my article below for more fun ideas!

I love Autumn. I really do. From the palette of colors Mother Nature proudly displays, to the crispness in the cooler air and crunching through leaves. I loved it all. And when my FiveSibes were here, they so enjoyed zoomies through the piles of leaves! I cannot count how many times we'd re-rake them, just to let them have a blast chasing each other through them, or hiding in them. When we moved, we could have a firepit, and both remaining seniors Wolfie and Bandit enjoyed our time spent relaxing by one. It was a new experience we went through together, and I'm certainly glad they were with me still to now have those memories.

My newest article published in 4Knines, I talk about a few of these fun things to do with your dog this fall~~be sure to click on the photo below and check out the cute videos and links to some fun fall  things to bake, make, or enjoy with your dog! And there's a special one to do on October 31st! Hint: It's purple!

Let me know if you've done some of the activities I mention in the article, and how your furry best friend(s) enjoyed doing, eating, or wearing them!

  2. Gosh, I love the Fall season too! It was my mom's favorite season as well. The colors are just spectacular! Henry loves chasing leaves as well. Although, he does miss the lizards. I actually took Henry over the hill (Sierra Nevada Mountains) to Apple Hill last weekend. As far as I know, it was his first visit. He loved the smells, people, dogs, and the drive. I have to say the apple treats for humans were pretty yummy too! Henry is always scared of fire. So, I'll have to forgo that one. But I do LOVE your purple pumpkin idea! I think we will have to do that one for sure! Of course a brisk hike is always fun. Plus, I seem to move a bit quicker when I'm cold. I really love this list and I especially love the flash back photos of Wolfie. So adorable! I'm sharing these great ideas with all my dog parents.

  3. We didn't have outdoor firepits until we moved to Phoenix, believe it or not! But we loved it so much and the dogs enjoyed it too, it was lovely sitting outside by the firepit at night. We have since always had firepits in our yards. I so miss the Fall! It really is such a beautiful time of year, and the crisp Fall weather is amazing.

  4. Fall or as I call it Autumn is for me the best time of the year, the weather is perfect, the colors of nature as you mentioned are magical. I try to get Layla out of the house on a daily basis to a park so she can enjoy the fresh air as not having a yard there is not much we can do. Great post as always

  5. I am definitely a summer person, I love the sunshine, although I keep the cats safe and hydrated! Autumn does have the most beautiful colurs and blended together they make gorgeous fabrics and images. No wonder some parts of the US have people visiting to admire the colours.

I admit it though, I adore the pumpkin patch and the purple pumpkin! The dogs look so sweet too.
