"Rescuing Siberian Huskies in accommodations that truly fit their needs. We pride ourselves on having a state-of-the-art kennel, pre-adoption training, and a multi-acre run area for our huskies."
The Facility |
Raven’s Husky Haven and Rescue is located in scenic DeKalb County in Illinois. Named after the co-founders' special dog “Raven,” the rescue was founded in 2011 and a rescue facility was built on four acres of beautiful land that includes a large playroom for the huskies, a grooming room, a kitchen, 12 indoor/outdoor kennels, some Husky-proof fenced yards (meaning fences buried underground) for the huskies to play in, and even trails for Husky hikes! There is a live-in, on-site manager (a retired 29-year US Army colonel veteran), a part-time employee, and a group of dedicated volunteers, including students from the nearby Northern Illinois University, NIU, which is “Home to the Huskies!”
I had the pleasure of having Kelly Lambert, president and co-founder of Raven's Husky Haven and Rescue on a recent episode of "The Sibe Vibe" on Dog Works Radio (celebrating their 10th anniversary of hosting and producing shows)! Tune in here any time to listen to a great show and learn all about this amazing rescue! You can also listen to this show and all of my episodes on iTunes, and on the Podcast app for iPhone and iPad!
Write a blog post highlighting a rescue (you can do a different one each week!) along with some photos of the rescue's adoptable animals (dogs, cats, horses, bunnies--any species) along with a little info on the pet and the rescue's contact information. Then grab our badge below and link to our blog, add your post's link to the Linky list, and join in the hop to help homeless animals!

Blog Hop All About?
Blog Hop All About?
It's about becoming a "village" to help rescues, homeless Huskies, and all abandoned pets of any species in need. It's also to share breed information to help educate folks so they understand the traits, habits, and needs of specific breeds, such as the Siberian Husky, BEFORE they welcome one into their home to ensure the home will be a forever one. Please check out our recent post HERE where I talk all about this new important Blog Hop!
Also, please be sure to read a very important and informative blog article wrote, #BreedEducate2Relate: It Takes A Village to Help Huskies in Need about the explosion of Siberian Huskies being abandoned and to become on educated on the breed before welcoming one into a home, as well as an equally important companion article in 4Knines titled Siberian Husky Rescues: A Heartfelt Mission to Help the Homeless. I hope if you have not read these, you will and share with others, too.
