***Update (8/15/2024): This slot has been filled. The Companion Animal Epilepsy Research Lab at NCSU-CVM has their Husky! Thank you to all who applied.****

The Companion Animal Epilepsy Research Lab at North Carolina State Univerity is seeking a "control dog" - one MALE SIBERIAN HUSKY, Neutered, with NO health issues, NO history of seizures, and does NOT live in a household with an Epidog to complete a survey for part of a Sleep & Epilepsy Study led by Dr. Alejandra Mondino, DVM, MSc, PhD, and Dr. Karen Muñana, DVM, MS, DACVIM (Neurology). This study aims to understand how Epilepsy disrupts sleep by comparing affected dogs to healthy controls.

TO BE ELIGIBLE, YOUR DOG MUST:

● Be a male, neutered Siberian Husky

●Have NO current medical issues

●Be between 1 to 5 years of age

●Have NO history of seizures

●NOT live in the same household as another dog with Epilepsy.

Please read the criteria carefully to see if your Husky fits the call out, and if you'd be interested in helping with this important study for Canine Epilepsy, please complete the form by clicking on the Companion Animal Epilepsy Research Lab's link below.

  3. WOW!!! I hope they find a good control dog. This sounds like an exciting study. I'll be anxious to hear the results. Is it a large study or long duration? I hope they find some good remedies or better yet, cures for dog sleep issues and epilepsy. Gosh that would be wonderful!
