Sibe Selfie of Gibson on a #FlashbackFriday

Image
#FiveSibes Flashback ~ Gibson ~ 2015   G ibson. My heart dog. My soul dog. My forever spirit guide. How do I love thee? There are way too many ways to count! I have always loved this photo I took of him (of course it wasn't a real selfie, but it could have been!). We had just had our kitchen remodeled, including a beautiful tile floor to keep the FiveSibes all nice and comfy while inside in the a/c on the hot days. As you can see from the look of bliss on my beautiful boy's face—he loved the cool floor! It became one of his favorite spots on a hot day. Little did I know...he would only be with me for another month after this photo was taken before hemangiosarcoma stole him from me just shy of his tenth birthday. I will forever be grateful for him. Diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy shortly after his third birthday, this fluffy boy never let seizures, ataxia, bromide toxicity, nor a torn CCL stop him from his zest and joy for life. Gibbie was truly an inspirational do...

FBF: The Beloved OGs of the FiveSibes

Image
The OGs of FiveSibes ~ Gibson & Harley ~ 2007     "A photograph is the pause button of life." ~Unknown    O h, how many times I hit that pause button of life spent with these amazing dogs. Some days, it is still so surreal that they are no longer here...no more pawprints thundering down the hall, no more beauties hogging up the sofa and chair...no more beautiful, out-of-tune Husky howls...no more excited greetings upon returning home...it all was so amazingly wonderful. Since we are wrapping up the month of May, with Mother's Day past and Father's Day right around the corner, I thought it would be fitting to honor the two who started it all and had me fall in love with breed! (All thanks to my daughter)! Today's flashback pauses yet another moment vividly in mind. Our "OGs," the Originals of our FiveSibes pack family—Harley, just two-years-old, and Gibson, a one-year-old pup, had just been groomed and were sporting their flashy bright bandanas....
