We are popping in from our blogging hiatus as our Pupsters celebrated their 12th Birthday! It was a bittersweet day as this was the first Pupsters' birthday without sister Chloe, who made her sudden journey North of the Rainbow Bridge this past June, and the loss of our pack's alpha queen, a/k/a "momma." It is still so hard to believe that our beautiful big FiveSibes pack family is now two--Wolf and Bandit. But, we braved on to celebrate their special day and recall so many fond memories of all three pupsters celebrating in past years together, while looking forward to the future. Those were the days, my friends... we thought they'd never end... My grandson is an amazing constant source of joy not only for this proud Nanny, but for Wolf and Bandit, too. They have become very good friends and he has helped them come out of their grieving! There is something about seeing him and Wolf and Bandit forge a close bond that just really warms ...

A Birthday Message for My Beloved Furgangel Gibson: Happy Heavenly Birthday to you my sweet, big, fluffy boy, Gibson. My heart dog, my inspiration. Today would have been your 14th Birthday, and we'd be celebrating with our pack family and my special ice cream bone-shaped cake you all loved. It is so hard to believe it has been four years since I last held your big polar bear paw in mine, or that you plied me with your famous Gibbie kisses, or wooed "Love you" to me. You were a true epilepsy warrior and an amazing ambassadog who helped so many others on their journey with epilepsy. I sure do miss you today as much as always. Have a great birthday, my Gibbie boy, and romp and play in the snow with your true love Harley who has now joined you and little sis, Chloe this past summer, leaving this broken heart even a little more broken, but knowing you all are all together helps. FiveSibes Flashback of party boy Gibson ~ New Year 2015. Oh, that beautiful face still melts my heart. We here at FiveSibes look back and fondly remember, with smiles and tears, our furangels Gibson, Harley, and Chloe. This year was so quiet as we welcomed in a new year with just Wolfie and Bandit as Harley and Chloe spent their first as the Rainbow Bridge. While our hearts miss our beauties, I am focusing on looking ahead to a new year filled with joy and adventures and hoping Wolfie and Bandit will be with us for a long time to come. This year, in memory of my beloved cousin and childhood best friend, Debra Ann, who passed way too young earlier this year quite suddenly from an illness, I made her delicious recipe--using whiskey featuring Huskies of course--for homemade Irish cream liquor in her honor (sorry pups, this on is for humans only). Christmas 2015 Flashback ~ Wolfie There is a beautiful peace about watching our pets curled up safe, warm, and loved; not just on a holiday evening, but every single day.
